A new Chairman for Nexia International

Nexia International (Nexia), a top 10 network of independent accounting and consulting firms, is delighted to announce that Dr Markus Emmrich has been appointed Chairman.
Nexia announced the news in London at its Annual Conference on 1 October 2016.<br/><br/>
Emmrich is a Partner at Ebner Stolz, a member firm of Nexia International, which has 1,200 employees and 15 offices in Germany. He joined Nexia’s International Board in January 2008 and the EMEA Board in March 2008, of which he was Chairman from 1 April 2013.
He succeeds Dr Norbert Neu, the Managing Partner of German member firm DHPG, who held the role of Nexia Chairman for eight years.<br/><br/>
Neu explained that much had been achieved during his tenure. He says: “The merging of two major networks at the start was challenging but proved to be a total success. Nexia is now firmly in the top 10 international accounting networks, with a fee income that has grown by over 50 per cent since the merger.”<br/><br/>
Neu continues: “Nexia is well-placed with the new brand, to exploit the market and I look forward to watching it grow even further. I feel privileged to have been the chairman and am confident that my successor will continue to move the network forward.”
Emmrich, the new Chairman, says: “I am delighted to have been selected and am looking forward to leading Nexia as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. There is little to change and I look forward to being a steady hand on the tiller.”
